Triple Berry Fruit Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 (12 fl. oz.) bottle Smucker's® Triple Berry Syrup or any berry flavor fruit syrup
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- Vanilla ice cream, pound cake or angel food cake
Directions
- Step 1
COMBINE syrup and corn starch in medium saucepan with wire whisk. Heat on medium-high heat until mixture begins to boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
- Step 2
If using frozen strawberries, cool sauce for 10 minutes. Stir in partially thawed fruit. Let set until fruit is thawed, stirring occasionally.
- Step 3
STIR in lemon zest, lemon juice and butter. Cool to room temperature.
- Step 4
FOLD fresh strawberries gently into sauce. Serve immediately over ice cream, pound cake or angel food cake.
